Building Reliable 24V Power: 25.6V 6Ah Battery Testing Update
24V-class equipment requires a different battery architecture from traditional 12V systems. A 25.6V 6Ah LiFePO4 battery configuration has now completed independent testing to UL 2054:2021.
The tested battery provides 153.6Wh of rated energy using an eight-cell series architecture.
Why 25.6V Is Used for 24V-Class LiFePO4 Systems
A LiFePO4 cell has a nominal voltage of approximately 3.2V. Connecting eight cells in series produces a nominal battery voltage of 25.6V, making this architecture suitable for compatible equipment commonly described as 24V systems.
Protection at a Higher System Voltage
The tested battery incorporates over-current and short-circuit protection circuitry.
As system voltage increases, appropriate charging equipment and electrical compatibility become especially important.
Testing the Complete Battery Assembly
- Short-circuit conditions
- Abnormal charging conditions
- Abusive overcharge
- Forced discharge
- Temperature behavior
- Mechanical steady force
- Mold stress relief
- Drop impact
Expanding Beyond 12V Power
The addition of a tested 25.6V battery configuration expands the range of voltage platforms available within the HeyFuture LiFePO4 portfolio.
This creates opportunities to support compatible higher-voltage applications while maintaining the same focus on defined electrical specifications, protection strategy and third-party safety validation.
