Inside the Safety Validation of Our 12.8V 15Ah LiFePO4 Battery
Product Safety Update
New Safety Testing Milestone for Our 12.8V 6Ah LiFePO4 Battery
Compact batteries are often used in applications where space is limited, but safety requirements remain just as important. A 12.8V 6Ah LiFePO4 battery configuration has now completed independent third-party testing to UL 2054:2021.
The evaluation focused on how the battery responds to abnormal electrical conditions, temperature changes and selected mechanical stresses.
Why Compact Battery Safety Matters
Small LiFePO4 batteries are commonly installed inside compact equipment, backup systems and portable devices. Because installation space can be limited, electrical protection becomes an important part of the overall battery design.
The evaluated 12.8V 6Ah configuration uses a four-cell series architecture together with over-current and short-circuit protection.
What Was Evaluated?
- Short-circuit conditions
- Abnormal charging
- Abusive overcharge
- Forced discharge
- Battery component temperature
- Battery surface temperature
- Mechanical steady force
- Mold stress relief
- Drop impact
Building Confidence Into Small LiFePO4 Batteries
For HeyFuture, testing is not only about meeting a specification. It is also a way to validate how protection circuitry, cells and the complete battery assembly work together under defined abnormal conditions.
As we continue developing compact LiFePO4 products, third-party testing will remain an important part of our product validation process.
