Well built. Powerful output for its size.

This battery is well built, compact, and works great. I ordered two of them and wired them in series for my 24V remote control mower. They provide plenty of power for their size, and performance has been very consistent. The built-in BMS works well. When the mower blade becomes overloaded, the BMS cuts the power to protect the battery, preventing damage from excessive current. That protection is a nice feature, especially for demanding applications.

One thing to note is that the actual dimensions are approximately 3.9 x 3.7 x 5.9 inches, not 2.6 x 3.7 x 5.9 inches as stated in the listing. Be sure to verify the available space before ordering.

Excellent upgrade that brought new life to our Peg Perego tractor

This LiFePO4 battery works great and has brought new life to my kid's Peg Perego John Deere Ground Force tractor. Compared to traditional lead-acid or AGM batteries, LiFePO4 chemistry holds a much more consistent voltage over the course of its discharge curve, giving you steady power output instead of slumping as the battery drains.

Pros:

Power & Performance: The power output is impressive. I haven't run it completely dead yet, but it has easily handled several 15-minute driving sessions without dying or even slowing down.

Safety: The included blue wiring adapter features an inline fuse, which is a smart and necessary safety component.

Value for Money: Compared to other upgrade options on the market, this kit offers great overall value for the price point.

Important Note on Charging:
Be aware that you should use a dedicated LiFePO4 smart charger for this battery. A standard OEM Peg Perego charger may not safely or properly charge this lithium. I already have a LiFePO4 smart charger at home, so I simply attach the clamps directly to the terminals for charging, which works great.

Cons:

Terminal Style: My one minor gripe is that this battery uses standard slip-on metal tab/flag terminals rather than screw-down post terminals. The included wiring adapter plugs onto the tabs completely fine, but screw-down posts are generally easier to work with if you ever want to repurpose the battery for custom projects (like a DIY portable battery box). I have another battery with identical specs that features screw-down posts, which I prefer, though it isn't a dealbreaker here.

Overall, it is a great upgrade kit that turns a sluggish ride-on toy into a speed machine!

Small And Compact, Lightweight But Packs A Lot Of Power!

The lithium technology just keeps advancing. For 20ah of power this is very lightweight and compact. I could probably run my ice fishing sonar nearly all weekend on this one battery without recharging. I have batteries nearly the same size and weight that are rated at about half the AH as this battery. These will power anything that needs 12vDC. Lights, fans, small heaters anything you can think of. These work fantastic as portable power packs like I described in the video.

Great battery at a great price point. Highly recommend!

Excellent product, excellent price/value.

I don’t have a John Deere ride on toy, but I have lots of small solar power systems and this is an excellent battery for a lot of different applications. This is a rather large capacity LiFePo4 battery, with the F2 type spade terminals. It has a BMS (Battery Management System) which offers protection for all of the normal issues like overcharge, over-current, over-discharge, and short circuit. It comes with a power cable which is configured for the John Deere toy, but can be altered to use with lots of systems. The cable has a built in 40 amp fuse which is very good. The cable has the F2-type spade connectors on one end and the toy connector on the other. My battery arrived partially charged to 13.10 volts, and after connecting it to my solar power system it charged up to 14.4 volts pretty quickly. The claim is for2000 recharge cycles and I have no doubt that it should go the distance. I really like the LiFePo4 battery chemistry because it is robust, safe, and long lasting. I’m seriously impressed with the build quality and I’m thinking that $60 for this battery is pretty reasonable, if you consider the lifespan. I’m thrilled with this battery and highly recommend it.

Compact battery with good power

This is a compact battery, well made, and supplies good power. The casing is nice and solid, and has no openings for dust to get in, so seems set for use outdoors. The compact size makes it easy to fit into whatever vehicle or project you need it for. It charges well, and has worked great for a variety of 12V projects, and powering a kid's ride. It seems to have good capacity, even a day of use did not run it dry. It uses standard metal tabs to secure, which aren't the most solid, but were easy to use. This price for a LifePOe4 battery seems quite good, and the warranty adds peace of mind this will hold up.

Ended up being a massive help during a power outage!

I had originally put this in one of my kids’ power wheels but then we had severe storms come thru my area and knock out power for 3 days. I ended up going into the garage and taking the batteries back out to use as backup batteries for things in the house. Coincidentally, the week before the storms I had just ordered battery step down converters to add charge ports onto my daughter’s razor moped. That combined with the battery gave me two usb ports. We plugged in a swamp cooler fan and charged 3 cell phones and after about 15 hours of the fan running straight it still had slightly more than 50% battery left. It held a charge fantastically and couldn’t have come in the mail at a better time! It was around 88 degrees during those 3 days and thanks to these batteries, me and my kids were probably thriving compared to some of my neighbors.

Not just for child's play, this battery means business.

I picked this battery up for something a little different than powering a kid's ride-on toy. I do live honey bee removals, and I've been experimenting with a portable acetone vaporizer that I use to heat BeeQuick, a product that helps drive bees out of structural cavities. I've already got a wall plug adapter for the vaporizer, and it came with a cigarette lighter plug, so I figured this little 12V lithium battery might be just what I needed to run it out in the field.

I grabbed a female cigarette lighter socket, connected it directly to the battery terminals, plugged in the vaporizer, and away it went! No converter, no fancy wiring, nothing. It heated the vaporizer just like it was plugged into my truck. I ran it for quite a while, and the battery didn't miss a beat. No unexpected shutdowns or signs that I was asking too much of it.

For a 20Ah battery, the size is pretty darn impressive. It's compact enough that I can easily find room for it in my equipment, and the weight is a heck of a lot more manageable than dragging around a comparable lead-acid battery. The case feels solid, and the standard spade terminals made it easy to connect my little homemade setup. Even though it's advertised for ride-on toys, it's compatible with plenty of other 12V projects.

One thing I really like is the onboard BMS. Having built-in protection against overdischarging, overcharging, and excessive current is a big plus. I don't want to accidentally run the battery down too far and ruin it. I haven't deliberately tested those protections, but I like knowing they're there.

I think it's a good value, especially considering the 20Ah capacity and LiFePO4 chemistry. These batteries are supposed to handle a heck of a lot more charge cycles than traditional lead-acid batteries, and I like the idea of having a lightweight, rechargeable power source that I can move between different projects.

My only real concern right now isn't even with the battery. It's my wiring! I've just got a couple of spade connectors running to a cigarette lighter socket, with no additional fuse or anything. It works, but if I'm going to make this a permanent setup, I'll definitely clean that up and add some proper circuit protection.

Overall, I'm really happy with this battery. I haven't run it through a full discharge test to see exactly how much runtime I can squeeze out of it, but so far it's doing everything I've asked. I've already got a few other 12V projects in mind, and I suspect this little battery is going to get quite a workout.

Excellent in solar charging setups - love the quality

The quality of these batteries is excellent, they are very well made with standard battery contacts to fit your 12v systems. Being LiFePO4, these batteries are a lot lighter than traditional SLA batteries (lead acid). With a 20Ah capacity, I'm able to run my camera for several days without any solar charge before the battery depletes, which is excellent for my use case. With 12v standard output, LiFePO4 batteries can be used with your 12v systems, but, you will need a modern charger that is capable of charging LiFePO4s. Otherwise, this battery is compatible anywhere you would normally use a 12v battery but want to save weight and get better capacity. Overall, with how well this battery functions, how much capacity it's got and how light it is, it's priced well IMO. I am very happy with my HeyFuture batteries and use them outdoors frequently and there's no exception with this one: love it.

Powers your fish finder for DAYS

This battery is LIGHT. This battery is POWERFUL. This battery seems well made.

We got this battery to use in a 12V power box that we use for our fish finder in kayaks and canoes. It has worked well, so far. With 20aH of power this lasts multiple days.

Lithium batteries are different than lead acid battery in that they don't lose power as they are used. With lithium, you get nearly the same power output up until the battery "dies".

Overall, this is a good battery for a good price. Meant for powersports, but so many other uses.

Very safe battery replacement with over twice the run time

12V 20Ah LiFePO4 Battery for Peg Perego John Deere Tractors Ride On Toys

5 stars because this 20 amp hour battery is a great improvement over the lead acid OEM battery on the Peg Perego ride on vehicles.
The 20ah LiFePO4 battery will give you over twice the runtime. These type batteries have a BMS or Battery Managemen System. It controls the charging of the battery and discharge of the battery. These type batteries are super safe to charge because of this.
The connector included with the battery matches up with the connector on the ride on.
Use the the same charger. To get the full charge on the battery, if it has been completely discharged, may require twice the time than the original battery because this battery has much more energy storage space. Keep that in mind.
I trust the HeyFuture brand because I also use the 100ah version battery in my solar power system. I have had no issues.

More Power and Longer Ride Time for Kids' Ride-On Tractor

I installed this 12V 20Ah LiFePO4 battery as an upgrade for my grandkids John Deere ride-on tractor, and the difference is impressive. The battery fit perfectly, and installation was straightforward with no complicated modifications needed.

The biggest improvement is the longer run time. Compared with the original battery, this lithium upgrade lets the tractor run much longer between charges. The power delivery also feels more consistent, with better performance even when riding on grass or slightly uneven surfaces.

The built-in 20A BMS provides great peace of mind by helping protect against overcharging, over-discharging, and other battery issues. The LiFePO4 design is also much lighter than traditional lead-acid batteries, making it easier to handle and a great long-term replacement option.

After using it for multiple rides, I'm very happy with the performance. It has transformed the ride-on tractor into a much more enjoyable toy with better endurance and reliability. If you're looking to upgrade an older ride-on toy battery, this lithium replacement is definitely worth considering. I would buy it again.

Good battery

I've been using this battery in a 12v electric quad and it's been working great in place of the original lead acid battery. The battery outlasted the child and was more than half charged after a day vs the original battery running out before the day has ended. The battery is a good size and is about the size of a 10AH lead acid battery. It's a good quality battery.

12V 20Ah LiFePO4 Battery for Peg Perego, 20A BMS 2000+ Cycle Replacement

12V 20Ah LiFePO4 Battery for Peg Perego, 20A BMS 2000+ Cycle Replacement

This initial review is based on product inspection and feature evaluation. The LiFePO4 chemistry is a significant upgrade over standard sealed lead-acid batteries commonly found in ride-on toys. Lead-acid batteries typically last only 200-300 cycles, while this lithium battery delivers over 2000 cycles, offering a lifespan roughly five times longer. This makes it a cost-effective long-term investment that can outlast multiple toys or years of use.

The built-in 20A Battery Management System (BMS) is a standout feature providing protection against overcharging, over-discharging, overcurrent, and short circuits. This safety system prevents damage to both the battery and the toy. The BMS includes dustproof, waterproof, and low-temperature cut-off features, designed for harsh environments like sea, rain, humidity, or dusty conditions, ensuring safe use in various weather. The BMS should be considered a standard part of the battery's function for safety and longevity.

The specific benefits of LiFePO4 extend beyond longevity. The battery is significantly lighter than a traditional lead-acid battery, which can improve the toy's maneuverability and reduce strain on the motor. It also provides a more consistent power output, meaning the ride-on won't slow down as the battery drains, maintaining speed and performance for longer. This is a direct replacement designed to fit Peg Perego John Deere tractors and other 12V ride-on toys, making installation straightforward.

Based on face value, the upgrade to LiFePO4 and the robust BMS set this replacement battery apart from standard SLA options. I will return to update this review after extended use regarding charge retention, real-world runtime, and the durability of the BMS over many charge cycles.

LiFePO4 Battery

This Lithium Iron Phosphate battery has high 20 amp hour capacity in a small package. The battery is spill proof and is an upgrade to a conventional lead acid battery. It was specifically made for a John Deere tractor but I'm using it for a 4 cylinder motorcycle. Be sure to check the dimensions for fitment into your prospective vehicle or device.

Compact and Delivered Full Capacity

This seems like a quality LiFePO4 battery. It is well made and compact for a 20Ah battery, making it easy to fit into smaller projects or enclosures. I'm using it on a solar project and it's been cycling everyday out in the heat and it's doing great so far.

Capacity tested at about 21Ah, so it met and slightly exceeded its rated capacity.

Big Power, Little Package

I used this battery in a fishing boat with some high end electronics. I wanted a separate system from the boats main batteries. I thought it might help to keep from getting interference and a LiFePO battery is perfect because the voltage never fluctuates. I installed the system and have used it on several occasions and it works perfectly. I am not sure how many days I could go without a charge but I am sure it would be registered in days. This battery seems well made and is very small and light. Lithium batteries have came down in price over the years and the amount of charges you will get makes it a great value

Perfect replacement for kids ride on

This 12V 20Ah battery fit exactly in the same spot as the old sealed lead acid 12V 12Ah battery, but weights 1/3 and had more than 2x the runtime. With the 20A continuous current rating (40A peak) this battery handles the starting current of my two drive motors without issue, even going uphill. I used a LiFePO4 battery charger that charges at 14.6V and charged it to before installing it on my nephew's ride on. Make sure you use the correct charger, since using the old lead acid charger will not fully charge the battery. Good price compared to a brand new "name brand" replacement battery, especially with the lighter weight and longer runtime. Plus, these batteries should last a lot longer than the sealed lead acid batteries.
